Tha National Anthem Project

Mrs. Autry's 6th grade classes have participated in a nine-week study called "The National Anthem Project".

Mrs. Autry says, "The 6th graders in my class learn the poem, the origins of the poem, participate in a drama of the story of its creation, and rehearse until they have memorized it and can sing it with correct pitch and diction, and respect for the song."

Read Across America

Read Across America day is March 3. In celebration of the event, DMS will be having Extended Homeroom during the week. We will read for 30 minutes each day beginning Tuesday. We will also be having our daily trivia.
